This edition of Rewind magazine
was written in December so the theme for this article was based around
Christmas presents and giving advice to the reader on what not to buy. The
masthead is entitled ‘The worst Xmas par-sents with Tempa T’ the masthead
appeals to the younger generation as the target audience because the language
used is an abbreviation often used in slag. Most of the masthead is written in
white except Tempa T’s name which is written in red to encourage the Christmas
theme; it is also the largest text on the whole double page spread; this is so
make it stand out to the audience as they brows through the magazine and to
encourage his fans in particular to read the article.
The first paragraph is under the masthead is an introduction to the article that has been written cross two double pages. The text has all been written in bold except for the names of the people who are involved in making of the article for example, the model tempa T, the author Danny Walker and the photographer Adrian Nettleship; their names aren’t in bold, but in a darker colour and in a smaller font, this to make them stand out in the text and to give them some recognition.
on the first page there is only one picture of Tempa T opening a present, the image has been used to create a story in the readers mind by incorporating the Christmas theme of the article to encourage the reader to link excitement into the image; he has wrapping paper on his sleeve to show that he opened the present quickly. The thought bubble coming from his head is an abbreviation of a phrase; this reflects his surprised facial expression. The text next to him is in a separate text box to the introduction. The text is written formally and incorporates humour to gage the attention of the reader and to give them tips and reasons they shouldn’t buy certain presents in Tempa T’s opinion.

The second page has two images and
two separate text boxes, the first image is of Tempa T holding two board games;
it is used to reinforce the illustration in the text, which is positioned on
the right hand side. This part of the article is set out in an interview form; the
questions are written in white and the answers are written in grey and in a
slightly smaller font. The language used in Tempa T’s responses is written
informally. The subheading is ‘boring
board games’ it is written in bold, white so it can also stand out against the
black background.
The second image and the text on this page follow the structure of the first set. It has a picture and to the left some text in the form of question and answer. This section is entitled ‘books’ once again the picture with it is representing and illustrating the book theme by the model holding three books up covering his face so that the audience can only see his eyes; Tempa T is using a direct mode of address with the reader. In each image the model is wearing a different costume, this may be just so the pages don’t look too similar or so the reader can see the difference and separate each section of the article.
